A little About Me

I’m Matthew Durbin, a portrait & spray‑paint artist, entrepreneur, and dog rescuer. My work centers on capturing figures who have left a meaningful mark—whether through culture, creativity, or character. Over the past decade, I’ve honed a stencil‑based spray‑paint technique—layering multiple hand‑cut masks and selective color to produce bold, vibrant portraits that are wholly unique, never prints.

From music icons and comedians to streamers and beloved pets, each subject is chosen for the positive resonance they carry. Creating each piece is my way of preserving memories and celebrating influence—making art that feels alive and personal.

At the heart of my practice is a personal mission—supporting the life I’m building in Illinois, working toward funding a dog sanctuary and rescue ranch. Each portrait sale supports that dream and helps me give back to the animals I love and rescue.

If a portrait of someone meaningful to you—or your pet—rings true, I’d love to transform that story into a one‑of‑a‑kind painting. Thanks for supporting my journey.
